Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and Mooncubwhen you use our bedtime-storytelling service. We've kept them short and readable — the most important thing to know is that the stories and pictures are created by AI for fun, and Mooncub is a tool for grown-ups to enjoy a magical bedtime with their child. By using Mooncub, you agree to what's below.
1. Accepting these terms
You must be at least 18 years old and the parent or legal guardian of any child a story is created for. By using Mooncub you confirm that you meet these requirements and that you are responsible for how the service is used in your household. Children do not use Mooncub on their own — a grown-up is always in control.
2. AI-generated content
Mooncub's stories and illustrations are generated by artificial intelligence. They are imaginative entertainment — not facts, advice, or guarantees. AI can be imperfect: it may occasionally produce text or art that is inaccurate, unexpected, or not what you intended.
Because content is AI-generated and created fresh for each story, we cannot promise any specific result, and the same inputs may produce different stories. We design the experience to be gentle and bedtime-appropriate, but we ask that a parent stays in the loop and uses their own judgment about what to read to their child. Mooncub is for fun and never a substitute for professional, medical, educational, or psychological advice.
3. Your story & your license
The story your family creates is yours to keep and enjoy. To the extent we hold any rights in the AI-generated text and images of a story you create, we grant you a worldwide, royalty-free license to use, save, print, and share that story and keepsake book for your own personal, non-commercial family use.
You are responsible for the inputs you provide (such as the child's first name and chosen interest) and confirm you have the right to use them. Mooncub, its name, logo, software, and the underlying service remain ours. Please don't resell Mooncub-generated stories or pass them off as a commercial product.
4. Acceptable use
When using Mooncub, please don't:
- Use the service if you are under 18 or are not the child's parent or guardian.
- Enter personal information that could identify a child (full name, address, school, photos).
- Attempt to make the AI produce harmful, hateful, sexual, violent, or otherwise inappropriate content.
- Misuse, overload, scrape, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the service or its security.
- Use Mooncub for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these terms.
We may limit or end access for anyone who breaks these rules, to keep Mooncub safe and kind for families.
5. Accounts & the email gate
The first pages of a story are free to play. To finish a story and save it as a keepsake book, a parent provides their email address, which creates a simple account. You are responsible for keeping your email access secure. You can ask us to close your account and delete your data at any time — see our Privacy Policy.
6. Subscriptions & billing (Phase 2)

Mooncub is currently free to use and no payment is taken in Phase 1. We are exploring a future “Pro” plan (planned at $9.99/month, with a $99/year option) for unlimited stories, a fresh story every night, and printed-quality keepsake books — plus a possible one-time printed keepsake book. Any “upgrade” or pricing buttons you see today register interest only and do not charge you.
The full subscription, billing, renewal, cancellation, and refund terms will be added to this section before any paid feature launches, and we will ask for your clear agreement before charging anything.
7. No warranty
Mooncub is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any AI-generated story will meet your expectations.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mooncub and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Because Mooncub is offered free in Phase 1, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for it (which, in Phase 1, is zero). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Mooncub evolves — especially when paid features arrive. When we make a material change we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify registered parents. Continuing to use Mooncub after a change means you accept the updated terms.
